Now imagine a business with one employee who has a PC set up in an office with Windows 7 installed. This person needs access to their files when they go home so what do they do? The easiest, and cheapest, way is to set up a vpn server on their Windows 7 PC which will allow them access to their desktop. You don’t always need business grade software / hardware to get things done.
