People think because it is free it must be useless. I have tried to convert people in the past (with some success) but sometimes it is just easier to support what they already have (Windows). I too am passionate about my Linux. My latest installation is Ubuntu Studio 11.10 with KDE desktop and I love it. With LibreOffice it's it does everything - or nearly. I Can't stand the sight of Windows. But the thought of trying to support Linux by phone frightens me. Going deeper into the problem I think that fundamentally it is that Linux is FREE. Because it is free, Distributors can not make money by distributing it and there is no money available for support or training.
